The Hardrockers come up big over New Mexico Highlands

We're about halfway through the college football season, and today the School of Mines looked for some redemption after last week's loss to Adam's State.

The Hardrockers took the field against New Mexico Highlands this afternoon. The Mines up by 3 in the 2nd quarter, and add to it! On the 3rd and 15, Jakob Sullivan passes to Jermaine Williams, who cuts across the field and runs all the way to the end zone, the extra point puts the Hardrockers in the 24-14 lead.
Highlands now on the 2nd and 15, with under a minute in the 1st half. Danny Cameron goes to the air, and is picked off by Triston Brown - he's soaring - he takes it in for a touchdown, but it's called back, and the South Dakota Mines get the ball at the 25.
The Hardrockers now have one more chance to score before the half. Sullivan passes to Brandon LaBrie, who takes it 16 yards, before getting knocked out of bounds just short of the end zone.
And the next snap, the hand off goes to Kevin Thompson who pushes it in for the Hardrocker touchdown. The South Dakota Mines take the 31-14 lead going into halftime.

The South Dakota Mines rolled to the victory, beating New Mexico Highlands, 52-14 the final score.
Black Hills State was on the road this week, taking on no. 21 Colorado Mesa University, and the Yellow Jackets fell short, 49 to 37.
