Stars drop Miles City in final games of regular season

Rapid City Post 320 was looking to end its regular season on a high note as Miles City, Montana came to town for a doubleheader. The Stars were initially supposed to be hosting the Black Hills Summer Slam this weekend but because of some teams dropping out only Miles City came to town.

Out to Pete Lien Field we go and the Stars won the opener of the doubleheader 12-7 ... Camden Nayman was on the mound for the nightcap and he gets the strikeout to end the inning here ... but Miles City leads 1-0 after 1 ...

Second inning now, still 1-0 Miles City, and Nayman gets Miles City pitcher Austin Kappel to chase this one as Grayson Skinner makes the throw to first to get the out ...

Grayson Skinner up and he lines one to left field but Miles City's left fielder makes a nice play on that one ...

Post 320 finally gets something going as Jaden Heintzmann takes this Kappel offering the other way all the way to the fence in right-center for the double ... and Post 320 is looking to get on the board

Carter Nesland follows things up and he slices this pitch to left field and Miles City can't make the play as Heintzmann comes around to score and tie things up at 1 apiece ...

After a walk puts two runners on, Devin Jacobs follows up with a blast to left-center and two runs come into score and Jacobs puts on the jets to get to third ... Stars up 3-1 at that point ... and they went on to win 13-3.
