The Rapid City Rush is setting the bar pretty high these days, riding a four-game win streak and getting the last two with dramatic, overtime finishes.
Wednesday, the Rush sought to extend the streak, with maybe a bit less drama, taking on the Idaho Steelheads.
Rush Coach Daniel Tetrault and company looking for their fifth consecutive win.
Rush on the move early, Dante Salituro fires, Ryan Faragher makes the save.
Rush on an early power play, Matt Caito fires, the rebound goes right to the stick of Dante Salituro who rips it in for the first goal of the game.
Idaho on the power play a short time later, Steven McParland feeds Justin Parizek. He fires, but the shot gets turned aside.
Moments later, Parizek to McParland, Adam Vay stones it, then turns aside two more shot before covering for the stoppage.
Idaho breaks through later in the third, on another power play, Brady Brassart dishes down to McParland who pots the game-tying goal. Knotted up at one.
Less than a minute later, the Steelheads with another great opportunity, Connor Chatham jams Rapid City's Kenton Miller off the puck and it's waiting on the doorstep for Mitch Moroz who can't quite shove it home.

The teams close the first period tied at one apiece but Idaho gets the win 4-to-3.
