The Rapid City Rush have sent standout rookie right winger Daniel Leavens to Wichita to complete the deal that brought goalie Shane Owen to town for four games.
The Rush traded for Owen in exchange for future considerations with the Thunder prior to Christmas last season. The Rush sent Leavens to the Thunder to complete that deal.
Owen went 1-3 with the Rush before leaving to explore other playing opportunities in Europe.
Leavens appeared in 47 games with the Rush and finished with just shy of a point-per-game pace, notching 12 goals and 30 assists for 42 points. Leavens played for the Rush, Americans, and Wheeling Nailers, and scored 15 goals along with 36 assists for 51 points, which ranked 63rd in the ECHL last season.
