The Rapid City Rush are coming off of an emotional weekend that included the retirement of longtime goaltender Danny Battochio's number 30 and Battochio's return to the ice as the club split a pair of games with Quad City.
With just three games remaining on the schedule Rapid City is looking to get a little revenge on the Mallards Wednesday night, after the Rush suffered a 5-4 defeat against Quad City in their final home game of the season. Then it will be off to Tulsa as Rapid City looks to squash the playoff hopes of the Oilers on Friday and Saturday night.
Coach Daniel Tetrault said, "The young guys look good. We're building for next year and we're looking to play hard and pick up a couple of wins on this road trip."
Rapid City will drop the puck in Moline, Illinois Wednesday night at 5:35 Mountain Time before heading to Tulsa Friday and Saturday. The Oilers are currently battling with Wichita and Allen for the last two playoff spots in the Mountain Division.
