Rush overwhelmed by Idaho

A rough stretch for the Rapid City Rush would be an understatement.
8-games, 8-losses and no time to catch their collective breath as the Rush found themselves back in action tonight against the Idaho Steelheads.
Shane Owen getting his second start between the pipes for the Rush.
Rapid City on the move in the first period, Peter Sivak leans into one, but Philippe Desrosiers makes the save.
Later, Rush on the power play, the puck trickles out to Riley Weselowski, the Captain unleashes, but it's turned aside, deflection out to Kenton Miller who lets it rip, but Desrosiers gloves it down.
Idaho back on the attack, Stevens McParland gains the zone and rips it, but Owen makes another save.
Steelheads continuing to apply pressure, Henrik Samuelsson chips it over to AJ White, but, once again, Owen is equal to the task.
Idaho breaks through later in the period, on the power play, Samuelsson to Jefferson Dahl and, admittedly, a pretty pass to the streaking Joe Faust, and he'll bury the first goal of the contest.
Rush trying to respond, Jack Walker wins the footrace to the loose puck, ahead of the defense, goes one-on-one with Desrosiers, but comes away empty handed.
Idaho makes the Rush pay a little later, Charlie Dodero has the shot deflected by Corey Durocher, and a Connor Chatham finishes the job.
And, make it now nine in a row as the Rush falls. Final Score 6 to 1.
