Rush lock horns with Idaho

It has been a confidence-crushing stretch of games for the Rapid City Rush, now numbering nine losses in a row.
And with just two remaining before a short Christmas break, the Rush was hoping for some sort of holiday cheer, taking on the Idaho Steelheads.
Coach Daniel Tetrault and company hoping to find some sort of spark.
The Rush playing with some energy in the first period, Jack Walker drives to the net, wrists it, but Philippe Desrosiers makes the save.
Midway into the first, Pavel Jenys with a nice feed to Peter Sivak who unleashes and finds the net for the first goal of the contest.
Moments later, the Rush trying to impose their will, Idaho's Joe Faust gets bodied by Alex Kromm.
Idaho gets a little too physical, Steelheads on the attack, Steven McParland fires, Christian Frey makes the save, but gets trucked by Connor Chatham. Chatham gets called for interference, Frey would stay in the game.
Idaho trying to get out of the zone late in the first, Rush get the turnover, back on the move, Dante Salituro gets hammered by Corbin Baldwin and the captain Riley Weselowski is having none of that as he barrels in and makes short work out of Baldwin.
Rush take a 1-nothing lead into the locker room after the first period.
