Rush Recap: Rush defeats Tulsa in 3-2 shootout victory

Briana Brownlee The Rapid City Rush wrapped up its season Saturday against the Tulsa Oilers.

Now the team might not be heading to the playoffs but it doesn't mean they can't play spoiler and crush the Oilers dreams of making it to the post season.

The Rush is playing out this season without any pressure, however Friday's game was a must win for the Oilers.
1.) First period of last night's game Christian Frey definitely came to play last night.
The netminder was like a wall guarding the net stopping 52 of 54 shots which was a major component for the Rush's success

2.) Here are two of the heavyweights going at it, 6'5 Garret Klotz and Tulsa's Mike Mckee...and Klotz was really pounding away until the linesmen broke the two up

3.) Rush will get on the score board first as Dante Salituro with the rebound passes it to Sivak who gets the score. and the Rush goes up one nothing late in the first period

4.) Second period, Tulsa applying pressure Adam Pleskach attempts the score, nice save by Frey but Pleskach will get it back , feeds out front and Charlie Sampair will notch his 31st goal and tie the game early in the second period.

5.) And just check out Christian Frey as Ryan Tesink is making is way down with full speed,he attempts the score but fry is able to make the stop while sliding back in his cage.

6.) Still in the second, Alex Kromm in all types of traffic rips the shot and gets the score to take the Rush up 2 to 1.

7.) Now this game did go into a shootout and it was this shot by Daniel Leavens that crushed the Oilers playoff hopes.
