Post 22 manager Mitch Messer resigns

Post 22 baseball is a staple here in the Black Hills, one with strong tradition.
The Hardhats have only had two head coaches in its 52 years of existence, and it's about to become three.

It's been confirmed that Post 22's Mitch Messer has resigned as the team's manager. Messer took over as the organization's second head coach after Dave Ploof resigned in 2011.
He is hanging up his Hardhat to take a position with the Expedition League -- the new summer collegiate wood bat baseball league created here in the Great Plains Region.
Messer has coached the Hardhats to the American Legion State championship four times.
There is no word yet on who will fill his Position at Post 22.
