South Dakota is known as saddle bronc country thanks to legendary world champs like Casey Tibbs and the Etbauer brothers.
But it's bull riding that will have rodeo fans' full attention tomorrow night as the Professional Bull Riders Tour hits the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
For riders such as Mason Lowe, who currently sits 64th in the PBR World Rankings, tomorrow night's event could make or break a season ... as the World Finals are less than a month away in Las Vegas.
Lowe said, "An event win here could make or break this season for the end of the season and start your next season real strong. The bulls are athletes, we're athletes, we train hard every week and the bulls are the same way. They feed 'em and exercise 'em so that they're the best that they can be. It's really a win-win as a fan coming out to watch. I see they're putting dirt in behind me so I'm hoping the dirt's a little soft so it kind of helps us out. I've always rode bulls pretty good but my get-offs are terrible, so when they got some soft dirt that helps out too."
The Rapid City Rumble gets going tomorrow night at 7 ... tickets are available at the civic center box office or on pbr.com.
