Lady Raiders punch ticket to State AA Tournament

It's time, once again, to put our skills on display.
A rhyming sportscast in the Doctor Seuss way.
District 4-Double-A is where we begin our run.
Central and Stevens for the big title, sounds like fun.
Out to Naasz Gym with a packed house on hand,
everyone cheering loudly, including the band.
The Cobblers get us started in the third quarter, but behind,
As Central trailed at this point by nine,
Mya Jones tries to change it, out on the prowl,
getting the basket and drawing the foul.
The Cobblers keep trying to cut into the lead,
Karli O'Brien delivering the feed,
Juneau Jones takes the pass and goes to the rim,
Doing her part to help her team get the win.
But Stevens was comfy with their second half edge,
Playing with passion is this ball club's pledge,
Kyah Watson pushing it to Julia Haefs,
Haefs cans the three ball as called by the refs.
Watson goes to work as she drives the lane,
Streaking to the basket without so much as a pain.
Time for one more if you will indulge me,
Watson feeding her teammate junior Mya Hendry,
52-45, Stevens grabs the District 4-Double-A crown.
With the win, the Lady Raiders are State Tournament Bound.
