RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) The Stars are hoping to make a run in the regional and state tournament, to do that they will be led by Ian Krump who starts at shortstop and also takes to the mound to help the stars.

Coach Downs and Krump have worked together the past few years in fall ball, and with Downs taking over this year at 320 he knew he would be relying heavily on Krump.

Rich Downs says 'Ian has been one of our mainstays. I've had the pleasure of working with Ian for about the last 3 to 4 years during the Fall Ranger program. When we had the opportunity to take over the 320 program I knew we were going to have a really good competitive player in Ian Krump, he's a great kid he's competitive puts everything out there to try and help the ballclub. We are really thrilled to have him on the team.'

Ian Krump says, ' I think just being a role model showing them what the coaches expect. I've worked with Coach Downs for the past few years with fall ball, he expects a lot he never expects mediocrity. He always expects people to play to the best of their ability.'
