Off to Howard Wood for the Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls.
We start off on the track and the university-college 4 by 100...This was all University of South Dakota from the start as they win it in under 46 seconds.
The Coyotes would go on to sweep the 4 by 100, as Tasheka Gordon anchors the Ladt Yotes to a win in 46 point 52 seconds.
To the high school side and the Class 'B' girls 4 by 800 meter relay. What a day from the Deubrook squad as they break a Dakota Relays record winning in just over 10 minutes flat! What a day for the Dolphins.
In the Class 'A' girls 4 by 8, Lurvene, Minnesota was leading late, but it's the Rangers from Hill City winning in 9 minutes and 53 seconds as Marion Hohn anchors the Rangers, big things from the girls from the Black Hills there.
The Class AA' girls 4 by 8 featured Minnetoka, Minnesota winning it and finally we go over to the field events and the girls triple jump. How about the defending state champion Shayla Howell taking flight once again!
She goes 38 feet 10 and three-quarter inches for the Dakota Relays title. Howell looks to be in top form with the state meet coming up at the end of the month.
The Dakota Relays continue tomorrow as the top high school and college talent from the region take their measure
