Henry out at Mines

Big news on the local college basketball scene today as South Dakota School of Mines has confirmed that head men's basketball coach Jason Henry is no longer leading the program.

The school said that assistant coach Eric Glenn, who has been Henry's right-hand man since 2005, will be take over the program on an interim basis.

The school had no further comment on the issue beyond that it is a "personnel matter."

Henry took over the Hardrocker program in 2005 after spending three years as an assistant under Hugh Welsh.

Henry had a 164-207 career record at Mines as he led the program from the NAIA level to NCAA Division II.

Henry led the Hardrockers to five consecutive winning seasons from 2008 to 2013, which was a first for the school, and also became the fastest coach to win 100 games in Mines men's basketball history.
