Grapplers kick off RC Invitational

After a trip up to Mandan, North Dakota last weekend, many of the Region's top grapplers would return the favor, making their way to the Black Hills for the massive Rapid City Invitational Wrestling Tournament.

Out to the Civic Center we go, we'll pick it up toward the end of the first round of action.
195 pounds, Central's Nolan Smith against Spearfish's Evan Hehr. Smith with the nice fireman's carry to pick up the 2. He'll win the match 7-to-2.
205 pounds, Stevens' Hunter McMath with the pretty ankle pick on Huron's Tristan Cardona. McMath gets the two and he'll win the match by major decision 14-to-3.
113 pounds in the 2nd round, Stevens Landen Fischer against Douglas's William George. Fischer with the gorgeous hip through and a few back points to boot.
Later in the match, watch George bounce to the sit through and eventually get the reveral. We'll head to an overtime session tied at ten.
There, Fischer just able to work his way through a very dangerous position and eventually get the win 12-to-10.
More from the second round, Stevens' Cody Bevier and Chamberlain's Cody Skustad, BeVier steps over, gets Skustad flattened and will eventually get the stick.
132 pounds, Devyn Swezey of Douglas against Central's TJ Morrison, Morrison locks in the chicken wing, gets' Swezey turned for a handful of back points, but Swezey is saved by the end of the period, through Morrison advances by a technical fall 15-nothing.
The Rapid City Invitational wraps up Saturday.
