Friday night 9 p.m. sportscast

The Rapid City Stevens boys and girls basketball teams are each ranked in the top five in the state in Class AA as they have shown themselves to be contenders this season ... But a pair of always strong Sioux Falls teams came to town this weekend as Roosevelt and O'Gorman will take turns playing Central and Stevens this weekend ...

Raiders coming off of a blowout win over Douglas ... things pretty certain to be tougher tonight against the Rough Riders ... Roosevelt starts things off with big man Aidan Evans stepping out to the perimeter and knocking down a 3 ... Raiders back the other way and Dylan Pourier drops off the nice pass to Mason Steele who finishes the lay up and was probably owed a foul as well ... Rough Riders to the other end and Carson Devericks finds Patrick Niyonshuti, who drains the triple from the left corner ... Roosevelt was shooting it well from outside early in this one .. Then Nyonshuti pokes the ball away from Pourier to trigger the break the other way ... and he pays Devericks back for the previous pass and Roosevelt is up 23-11 at the end of the first quarter ... Start of the second and Pourier knocks down a triple to cut into the lead ... but the Raiders could never get it going in this one as they get drilled 66 to 35 ...
