Frey stellar in goal as Rush beat Quad City

The Rapid City Rush were in Quad City tonight looking for a little revenge after falling to the Mallards 5-4 at home in their last meeting ... this will be the final meeting ever between the two clubs as Quad City is folding up shop at the end of this season ... off to Moline we go ...

And we start things off with a little bad blood between former Mallard Garrett Klotz and current Mallard Travis Armstrong ... we'll give that one to the Rush's enforcer Klotz ... and having shook Klotz's hand ... let me tell you ... you don't want him punching you in the face ...

Here we've got Christian Frey and Brayden Sherbenin teaming up to keep the Mallards from scoring ... nice work by the Rush goaltender there to keep things scoreless ...

Frey here again ... stones Quad City's Ryan McGrath ... and the rush goaltender was absolutely lights out after struggling in his last outing ... stopping 53 of 54 shots on the night ... his coaches have to be so happy to see him bounce back like that ...

And here Josh Elmes finds Aaron Boyd with a beauty of a pass to tie things up at 1 apiece ...

Into the third and Alec Baer showing off the skills ... carving up the Quad City defense and he puts the Rush on top ...

Peter Sivak added his team-leading 25th goal of the season and Brayden Sherbenin found the net as the Rush win 4-1 ... they'll head to Tulsa to close the season on Friday and Saturday ...
