Things came down to Spearfish teammates Sam Grout, a sophomore, and Jesse Sacrison, a senior ...

The two tied after 18 holes with identical scores of 77 before heading to a sudden death playoff ...

And this is action from that playoff hole ... Sacrison sprayed his drive right and ended up taking a bogey ...

Here's Grout, who captured a conference championship with a routine par on the first hole of the playoff ...

The sophomore was pleased with his play, particularly around the greens ... and said that the competition from his teammates ... the Spartans took individual places one through five en route to an easy team championship ... is a big key to everybody's success.
