FOX's Finest

With the birth of the United States last week, it's only fitting that America's pasttime dominates our plays of the week as we look back at the week that was ...

In this week's FOX's Finest.

We start things off in the Majors on Independence Day as Colorado's Nolan Arenado charges a bunt attempt by San Francisco's Andrew Suarez and starts the 5-4-3 double play. It doesn't get much smoother than that for an infield at any level ...

At No. 4 we stick with Fourth of July Major League action and this play was a big one as Milwaukee led the Twins 3-1 in the ninth inning and Minnesota's Brian Dozier turns on this 96 mile per hour fastball but the Brewers' Keon Broxton does what he's becoming known for as he tracks it down, climbs the wall and robs Dozier as the Brewers held on for the 3-2 win ...

At No. 3 we go to some defense a little closer to home as Rapid City Post 22 catcher Tod Stephens comes up throwing against Rocky Mountain during the Firecracker Tournament ... and he couldn't have walked that one out and set it down any better than that ...

At No. 2 we head up to Spearfish as Post 164 hosted Scottsbluff ... and the Zephyrs' Nate Blackos flares what looks to be a certain hit into center field, but Spearfish centerfielder Taylor Woods comes up throwing and absolutely stuns an inattentive Blackos at first ... to say nothing of Blackos' first-base coach ...

And at No. 1 we go back to the Firecracker and it's the title tilt between Post 22 and Terre Haute, Indiana ... and Post 22 shortstop Cooper Bowman lays out into the outfield grass to get at this grounder before getting up and unleashing an absolute thunder bolt to first to get the Indiana baserunner.
