FOX's Finest

A couple of major sports champions were crowned last week, so we had to give them a couple of slots in our rundown of the plays of the week.

So from the Stanley Cup finals, to the NBA Finals and right here at Floyd Fitzgerald Stadium, we recount the week that was ... in this week's FOX's Finest.

We start things off with Rapid City Post 22 against Miles City, Mont., and Hardhats pitcher Zach Chiolis shows that his pickoff move is not to be trifled with as he catches this Outlaws base runner in dire straits and his teammates finish off the play for the out.

At No. 3 we go to the Stanley Cup finals and it's Washington's Devante Smith-Pelly flying through the air and scoring the tying goal against the Vegas Knights in Game 5. Smith-Pelly and the Capitals took the game and the series, winning Washington's first Stanley Cup in its 44-year existence.

And at No. 2, he may have been swept, but anytime you treat the NBA Finals stage the way I treat my four-year-old and his seven-foot hoop, you get a nod on FOX's Finest. Here is Cleveland's LeBron James throwing himself an alley-oop off the backboard and dunking it to beat the shot clock. The Warriors however had the last laugh as they repeated as NBA champs in four straight games.

And at No. 1 we've got a familiar face as Post 22 shortstop Cooper Bowman is becoming something of a fixture on the Finest. Here he makes the barehanded play look easy as Post 22 picked up a win over Dickinson, N.D. Bowman and the Hardhats have had a nice start to the season as they currently sit at 21-4 under first-year head coach Kelvin Torve.
