The South Dakota Mines have kicked off this season with a 2-and-0 start, and Saturday the Hardrockers looked to make it 3 against CSU-Pueblo.

The Thunderwolves heading into today off a loss last week, taking on the South Dakota Mines, hungry for the Rocker Day win.

Pueblo picked up 7 on the opening drive, and the Mines are looking to answer here on its first drive as well. Dorian Cowart takes the ball through traffic - I mean, seriously - you think he's going down, but he keeps going. Cowart picks up 21 yards on the play.

This gives the Hardrockers a good opportunity to score. This time Jake Sullivan calls his own number, and races to the end zone, reaching over the pylon for the touchdown. That's a 9 yard touchdown for Sullivan. The extra point ties the game at 7.

Pueblo now, lookng to match that - Brandon Edwards hands off to Marche Dennard - the legs of this Thunderwolves team... Dennard picks up 43 yards on the carry.
Then two plays later, he'd bring it in for the one-yard touchdown.
The Thunderwolves give the Hardrockers its first loss of the season, 34-14 the final score.
