Saturdays are for the boys on the football field.
After the huge comeback win last week, Black Hills State had a chance to move to 2-and-0 as they took the field against Fort Lewis College Saturday afternoon.

Out to Lyle Hare Stadium, no score in the 1st - thanks to the Yellow Jackets defense. Skyhawks quarterback, Bo Coleman looking to the end zone on the 3rd down. And, it's broken up by Sam Garcia - the redshirt freshman! This keeps the Skyhawks off the board.

Fort Lewis College lines up for the 31 yard field goal attempt on the 4th down, Freshman Ben Raybon with the kick, and it's no good.

Black Hills State on the following drive. The junior stud quarterback Ryan Hommel keeps it on the 3rd down - needing 26 yards to move the chains. He *gets* 26 yards, and he's still going! This QB's got legs! Hommel takes it in for the 74 yard touchdown. The Yellow Jackets failed on the 2 point conversion and take the 6-nothing lead.

On to the 2nd quarter, Hommel with time in the pocket, launches the ball intended for Tanner Gamble, but surprise, Dominic Cochrane picks it off and goes the other way. He's brought down by Hommel at the 6. This would turn into 7 from the Skyhawks. And Fort Lewis College takes home the win, 17-13 the final score.
