Wife of slain tribal officer indicted on murder charge

The wife of a slain Oglala Sioux Tribe police officer has been indicted by a federal grand jury for his murder.
Tiffany Janis was scheduled for a preliminary hearing in federal court Friday afternoon.
but she was indicted this week on a charge of second degree murder and a charge of discharge of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence.

Tribal officer Brian Garrett was killed in his home on February 10th near Kyle.
The affidavit filed in the case says Janis told agents that Garrett kicked her out of the house ... and she went out, got her gun and then came back into the house.
The document says she told agents that's when she found Garrett and her cousin having sex ... and says she then shot him.
