RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - The owner of Timmons Market in Rapid City says Tuesday was one of their busiest shopping days ever.
Dan Bruner says after checking the records from the last four years, he had more traffic and transactions in his store on that day than any other as people prepped for the snow.
He thinks it's because people learned from the blizzard of 2013.
"It's clear people wanted to be much more prepared for this storm system coming in," says Bruner. "Definitely busier and people were really heeding the warnings this year than they have in the past. I want to give a shout-out to my team. They did an amazing job. We are a locally-owned grocery store and we don't always see that volume of business, but they were incredible."
Bruner says depending on how bad the storm gets, he will close the store so his employees can get home safe.
