Rapid City woman pleads guilty to drug charge in federal court
A Rapid City woman is facing up to life in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance Friday morning in federal court in Rapid City.
According to the factual basis statement signed by 31 year old Amber Battista, she was involved in a conspiracy to distribute between 1.5 and 5 kilos of methamphetamine between January of 2016 and January of this year.
Battista admitted that the meth came from California and then she distributed it in the Rapid City area.
She faces a minimum of ten years in prison and a maximum of life when she's sentenced.
