The Weston County School District #1 in Wyoming has placed all of its buildings on 'lockout' status until further notice, meaning all doors are locked and no one is allowed inside until they are cleared. The Weston County District includes Newcastle Elementary, Middle and High Schools. A school district spokesman said there has been no threat to any of the schools in the district, but says the lockout is due to concern about a disgruntled former employee at a business near the elementary school. He says the incident is not school related. A statement posted earlier by the district says, "We are not aware of an imminent threat or immediate danger, but are taking all necessary steps to secure our buildings and people."
