RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - A man with stab wounds and a female went into the Big D Gas Station on North Lacrosse St. near the north-side Walmart around 4 p.m. Monday.

A manager with Big D said the male had been stabbed in the chest when he entered the store and appeared to be leaving from a bus stop.

A woman who asked to remain anonymous and was pumping gas during the incident gave an account of what she saw.

"I pulled in to get gas and next thing you know here comes the ambulance and two other cop cars and they're escorting a guy out and he's got blood on his chest and stomach and they're holding a rag up to his chest," she said.

The manager at Big D also said the man was transported off by the ambulance.

Witnesses say there was a woman involved who left in handcuffs.

The motive of the stabbing has not been released. RCPD says reports are pending.
