Lutheran church celebrates 500 years since Reformation

The Black Hills Circuit made up of Lutheran churches from Phillip to Wyoming all met to honor Martin Luther, a young Catholic monk responsible for his unique way of getting the church back together. Singing hymns, praying, and receiving gifts, the pastor says Luther's ideals still resonate with the church today.

Pastor Randy Sturzenbecher says, "Looking at God's word alone, through grace alone, by faith alone and in doing that he caused a reformation not only in Germany but throughout the world as it brought us back to the truth of God's word and that's what we're here celebrating today."

The theme for this year's reformation celebration was "It's still about Jesus."
