RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) Kids got a chance to rock out on stage in front of a full audience Friday at the Dahl Arts Center.
Friday was the 16th annual Rock School concert where four bands of four kids ranging from 8 to 18 rocked out after months of hard work.
These kids have been working for several months to perfect their rock and roll sound and tonight was the night they let loose and showcased their talents.
Scott Miller, Rock School coach says, "A lot of the kids that come in, they are kind of shy, to begin with. We do tend to attract some kids that are or would be considered a wallflower and they really bloom. They really find their niche, they find that thing they can really latch onto and say, this is my thing and I love doing this. this is what I like to do."
The next three-month session of Rock School starts in June.
