Cottonwood Addition, which is a nearby subdivision, has been evacuated and Indian Canyon Road is closed.
The Indian Canyon fire has burned up to12,000 acres after sparking early Saturday evening.
According to earlier reports, two buildings were destroyed but a firefighter tells us that is NOT true.
Crews are fighting the flames from the ground and in the air - with a very large air tanker helping fight the blaze.
A larger command is taking control of the fire tomorrow, upgrading from a type 2 incident to a type 1.
Several agencies are responding, including departments from both South Dakota and Nebraska.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and it remains 0% contained.
