RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Friday at Jambonz Deux in Downtown Rapid City, they were definitely serving up a great bit of fish.
Servers say with almost every order during lunch, the seafood was involved. Good Friday and Easter weekend means breaking the Lenten fast for people. Catholics are encouraged to abstain from eating meat Fridays during Lent and often opt for fish instead.
Rachel Walker, day bartender at Jambonz Deux, says "Alot of catfish, alot of shrimp, alot of coleslaw. I've worked at alot of bars where we just had fried foods and we just sold alot more fried fish around this time of year for sure."
Walker says many people have been calling about their crab and shrimp boil they will have on Friday and Saturday beginning at 5 p.m.
