Continuing now with more Thanksgiving meals,
The mission wasn't the only organization that was serving up a public meal to the community.

The Knights of Columbus were also dishing out meals for their 35th straight year, the event has grown in size over the years and to keep up with the demand 440 pounds of de-boned turkey breast was starting to be prepared on Tuesday.

The location of the event has also changed over the years but it's the wonderful guests who keep coming that means the most to the Knights.

Grand Knight Council 1489 Jeff Meyar says, " We have the most gracious guests in Rapid City and its wonderful to provide a meal and to sit and chat to have a conversation with them. Its what makes this a very special day."

Meyar also added that he wanted to thank his team who helped cook the meals and welcomes anyone to come and join them in the future
This year's event was held at Saint Thomas More High School. The space allowed them to seat up to 1,000 guests
