Firefighters stomp city grass fire

Firefighters stop grass fire late Saturday night.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV/KEVN) - The Rapid City Fire Department quickly snuffed out a small grass fire in North Rapid late Saturday night.

Flames engulfed sections of cattails in a drainage area along Downing Street and behind North Lacrosse Street around 11 p.m.

The fire department estimates the flames burned no more than half an acre and they believe it is human caused.

No injuries were reported.
