A Delta Airlines flight from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Rapid City mistakenly landed at Ellsworth Air Force Base instead of Rapid City Regional Airport Thursday night. Delta says flight 2845 had 130 passengers on board when it landed at Ellsworth. The Airbus 320 eventually took off and landed at Rapid City Regional. The flight was scheduled to arrive at 8:50pm Thursday. Delta's website says the flight arrived at Rapid City Regional at 11:31pm.

Military personnel walked through the cabin while the airplane was at the base. Passengers were ordered keep their window shades down.

A release from Delta says the crew has been taken off-duty while an investigation commences by the National Transportation Safety Board. Delta says they have already begun an internal review of their own.

Delta says safety is always their priority. The airline says they have contacted the customers on the flight and offered a gesture of apology for the inconvenience.
