Corvette Classic celebrates 47 years with more than 300 cars in Spearfish

SPEARFISH, S.D. (KEVN) - Since 1971, the Black Hills Corvette Classic has been giving car enthusiasts a run for their engines.

More than 300 Corvettes laid out in the heart of Downtown Spearfish this weekend.

Corvette owners begin in Sioux Falls and stroll through the Black Hills to celebrate at this premier event.

One Corvette dealer says he has been coming for 35 years and you can still get the family vibe.

The ones that have been coming here for quite a few years come out here to visit with friends and to bring their car. It's the longest Corvette caravan in the world. 400 miles from Sioux falls to Spearfish," said Gerald Konken, a Corvette dealer out of Hartington, Neb.

Vette Street USA is only part of the roaring weekend. For more information on the Classic's schedule this weekend, visit www.blackhillscorvetteclassic.com
