Businesses celebrate Saint Paddy's Day with Irish food

Saint Paddy's Day is also about the food so we hit up a couple of places in Rapid City to see what was cooking in the kitchen.

Many restaurants and bars were whipping up Irish specials today, and Everyday Jakes was no exception.

The food truck was parked in front of Lost Cabin on Saturday... serving Dublin Coddle, which is a combination of sausage, bacon, and potatoes to Irish stew made with Guinness Beer.

Everyday Jakes Owner Jake Poppe says, "I love it. You can't get better than this. You go around and see everybody having a good time and enjoying the holidays.

The Wobbly Bobby has been celebrating Saint Paddy's Day since it opened seven years ago.

And on Saturday the pub was serving corned beef and cabbage as well as Coors Light and Miller Lite at a discount.

Wobbly Bobby Bartender Chase Bitterman says, "So we think it's important, especially in a theme bar like ours, to celebrate these national type holidays and so we open early. We just want to make sure that Rapid City people have some fun."

Bitterman hopes everybody has a great time on Saint Paddy's Day, but wants to remind everyone to use Lyft or ask a sober friend to drive if they've had a little too much to drink.
