Black Hills FOX Business: A&D Jamaican Restaurant & Rushmore Shadows Resort

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - More unique cuisine has hit Rapid City, a new Jamaican restaurant that is giving customers all the tastes.

A&D Jamaican Restaurant has only been open a week and people have already been giving it good reviews. It is run by family and that is from the front of the house to the kitchen. The restaurant's traditional Jamaican menu features oxtails, curry goat, brown stew chicken and pork, and fried chicken and they want people to try their famous jerk chicken The owners say they are happy to bring their tasty heritage to the Hills.

"We're hoping that A&D Jamaican Restaurant will bring that Jamaican vibes and also we have the bike rally around here and it will be spice it up just beacuse we've been missing the Jamaican food so I think we'll work pretty good there and also Jamaican food is healthy," said
Kevin Howell, owner of A&D Jamaican Restaurant.

A&D Restaurant plans to open up their drive thru tomorrow so you can drive up and get something to eat or be on the look out for the reggae music they'll be incorporating inside soon. They will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and later on the weekends.

A camp resort is continuing to keep it positive and fun as they open this season.

Rushmore Shadows Resort management says they have been getting cabins ready, redoing sites, checking landscape and necessities for guests to have a good time and enjoy their stay. The resort says they have been thriving off of their memberships and they're always excited to see the diverse groups that come to visit.

"We want people to come to South Dakota, we want them to come to the Black Hills. We want them to to enjoy themselves so they tell their friends and family, hey I went to Rushmore Shadows Resort and I had a blast, that was a place to stay, not in some hotel or wherever it maybe, I want people to come up here and enjoy themselves. That's the overall I want. I want you to come back and I want you and your friends to come back to Rushmore Shadows," said Zach Weymouth, store manager at Rushmore Shadows Resort.

Rushmore Shadows has added a new resort to their membership and their membership events have changed.
