RAPID CITY, SD (KEVN) Art for Hope was held at the Canyon Lake Activity Center this evening to raise money for the Hope Center.

There were over 30 works of art available during the silent auction -- ranging from pieces donated by high school students, Racing Magpie, as well as art done by those who benefit from the Hope Center.

Anna Quinn says, ' I think it is pretty cool. We did a few different art Saturdays where they could come in and have pizza and do art. I think they really enjoyed it and knew they were giving back.'

Events like 'Art for Hope' are key to helping the Hope Center keep their doors open as they serve the community.

"Extremely, Probably 50-60% come from private donors and individuals in the community. " says Quinn

If you would like to help the Hope Center-- but missed this event -- they are currently accepting donations for blankets and toiletry items.
