Arrest for DUI made after driver flees crash

Four people were sent to the hospital and another person was arrested following a multi-vehicle crash in Rapid City Friday afternoon. At the time of this post, we do not have confirmed information on the extent of injuries.
Police arrested 33-year-old Joseph Morado of Rapid City on three counts of vehicular battery and DUI.
Police say a driver in a Pontiac Grand Prix attempted to turn onto East New York Street from East Boulevard. Morado, driving a Pontiac Bonneville coming from the other direction on East Boulevard, hit the Grand Prix and another vehicle.
The driver and all three passengers in the Grand Prix were taken to the hospital.
According to police, Morado fled the scene of the crash and was found a couple of blocks away.
The occupants of the third vehicle were not injured.
