RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - The February issue of 605 magazines hits the stands. This time, there's a new section called 'On the Menu' where staff features restaurants across the state. In this month's issue, it's a place that Rapid City residents might recognize.
Que Pasa is a popular downtown Rapid City restaurant serving up Mexican cuisine. 605 is featuring its pork belly tacos that were a hit during Restaurant Week, a ginormous tri-colored burrito full of steak and smoked brisket, and vegetarian nachos piled high.
Of course, you can't forget the margarita! This month's feature marg is the heartbreaker...appropriate for this month, right? It's Blue Agave tequila, peach liqueur, house-made sweet and sour with grenadine.
605's publisher Alana Synder said they picked Que Pasa because it's always innovative and a must-go-to spot for visitors.
"Que Pasa is really creative and they are always up to something new. They always have innovative drinks and obviously a lot of tourists coming through and so they are always creating new dishes for everyone," said Snyder.
Staff hopes this new addition to the magazine will always keep people in the know of specials going on at eateries around the state.
"People love food and drinks, I don't know if you've heard, it's crazy, but we love taking food photos. We did a section before where we shared recipes, but this really gives us the ability to show off more of people's menu and hard work and what it takes to make it and the inspiration behind the dishes," said Snyder.
605 Magazine is a free publication that can be picked up at nearly 40 locations around Rapid City including Pure Bean Coffee House, The Market, and Black Hills Bagels.
