RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Rapid City Area Schools, the largest West River district, is not in great shape when it comes to the infrastructure. A lot of the buildings need work to keep day-to-day operations going.
The superintendent is debating on what would be the best solution for the entire district.
"We have a number of aging buildings and facilities and we know that there are things that need to be done. We're looking at a range of things from replacing parts of facilities infrastructure including building some new facilities," says Dr. Lori Simmons, superintendent of Rapid City Area Schools.
As staff narrow down options, they want to get the public's opinion. They plan to come forward in the next few weeks with ideas.
