BHFCU providing new banking service to Hermosa

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Black Hills Federal Credit Union is providing a new banking service to Hermosa, a community who does not have a financial institution.

The interactive teller machine was recently installed in Pop's Grocery Shoppe about two and a half months ago.

They have already seen hundreds of transactions being done each month.

Their goal is to bring the bank to their customers so they don't have to drive all the way to Rapid City or Hot Springs.

With the installation in Hermosa, BHFCU has six other locations featuring the enhanced teller service with three in Rapid City and three in Sioux Falls.

This new technology allows you to do more than just what an ATM is capable of doing.

Black Hills Federal Credit Union vice president of marketing & business development, Carol Brown, says "you can pull up to the ITM, you simply touch the screen, and a teller pops up and you are having a conversation with a teller. You can do everything you can usually do in person with a teller. You can deposit a check to the penny, you can cash a check, you can withdraw, move money from one account to a loan, anything that you want to do that you would normally do at a teller."
You can gain access to these machines Monday through Saturday.

Monday through Thursday the ITM’s are up from 6:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening. On Friday they are working from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm and on Saturday they are open 8:00 am to noon.
