Caroline Pettey joined KEVN Black Hills Fox and KOTA Territory News in September as a multimedia journalist; and now co-anchors KEVN's 6 and 9 p.m. newscasts.

Caroline was born and raised in Decatur, Ala. She graduated from Auburn University with an interdisciplinary degree in broadcast Journalism and sports management.

While at Auburn, Caroline worked for Eagle Eye News, ESPNU, Swish Appeal and SB Nation, covering everything from SEC football to the Atlanta Dream WNBA team. In 2018, she was honored to represent SB Nation at the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Knoxville, Tenn.

During her time as a student, she was also awarded the role of Miss Auburn Panhellenic and participated in various university volunteer programs.

Caroline is a former Miss Teen Alabama and has traveled across the country to promote her platform of climate change. She believes it’s never too late to start preserving our planet. She is passionate about nature, outer space, and true crime. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, reading, watching sports, painting, and bugging everyone around her to recycle.
