RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Skies are clear overnight as temperatures drop into the 20s for many. Some spots around the hills will be near or in the low 30s.

Sunshine is expected for much of Friday. Temperatures will soar into the 50s and low 60s for the area. An area of clouds will arrive through the afternoon and evening hours. Clouds move our early Friday night and leave us with more sunshine on Saturday with highs in the 60s. Sunday could be the day we flirt with our first 70° of the year.

Cloud cover will increase on Sunday with a few showers possible in the later afternoon hours, especially in Wyoming. Rain and snow showers are likely Sunday night and into Monday. This storm doesn’t look to be anything significant at this time, but some moisture is better than nothing. Highs will be in the mid 40s early next week with breezy conditions Monday and Tuesday.

Warmer air will gradually return through the week with highs flirting with 60° by the end of next week.
