RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Boursin is a French cheese product made by combing Gournay cheese with herbs and spices.
But we don’t have to have Gournay cheese ... especially since it has a similar consistency to cream cheese. So today we’ll make our own Boursin with cream cheese and butter.
In fact, the first thing you do is combine a softened stick of butter with a softened package of cream cheese. To that add a quarter teaspoon each of oregano, thyme, garlic powder, chervil and pepper. If you can’t find chervil, use basil, instead.
Mix thoroughly, chill and use as a dip or spread, or better yet, spread on a slice of break, make a sandwich and cut into quarters when serving.
