COVID-19 numbers on Wednesday in SD

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - There were 36 new COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday in South Dakota. This brings the state’s total known case number to 122,489.

Five deaths were reported bringing the South Dakota’s death toll to 2019.

Pennington County reported 6 new cases, Meade County reported four new cases, Butte County reported 2 new cases, and Oglala Lakota, Custer and Gregory counties reported 1 new case each.

Hospitalizations have decreased by three, bringing the total to 41.

According to CDC data, 54.59% of South Dakotans have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine and 49.48% have completed the full vaccine series.
