People share what they’re looking forward to in 2021
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - People were thrilled to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021.
“I’m actually really happy that it’s gone because so many crazy things happened. Like a lot of controversies and like I just wanted to get away from the drama and all. So I’m pretty happy 2021 is nowhere,” says Jeremiah Matulessya.
“I’m really glad to see 2020 in the past. It’s been a really difficult hard year for not only everybody here, in this local community, but throughout the world. And we lost a lot of loved ones,” says Leo Hermany Horses
With a new year comes new goals.
“Get more exercise. Twenty-thousand steps on my fit bit,” says Dalton and Grayson Barns.
“Probably just school. Yeah, last year was a mess, so I’m trying to focus on that more often this year,” says Nathaniel Matulessya.
As we roll into the new year, many are looking forward to new adventures.
“Being able to travel and see people and do things. Somewhat normal. It’s never going to be normal. Normal is gone,” says Hermany Horses.
And in 2021, some are hoping people can come together.
“I’m waiting for the hatred to kind of disperse and for us to come together again. And just be happy strangers and learn from one another,” says Christina McFarland.
