The Sturgis boys' basketball team earned just one win all of last season. But Tuesday night, the Scoopers were on the verge of capping off a remarkable turnaround as they are just one win away from a trip to the state tournament. Next Scooper possession, Joey Olson gets a look from behind the arc.The senior connects as Sturgis climbs to within two.The Kernels going back to the post now.Victor goes baseline as he puts this off the glass to extend the Mitchell lead to 14-10.Late in the first now, Sturgis down six.Olson goes into the lane and gets the off-balance shot to drop. But Mitchell was just too much as the Kernels end Sturgis' season with a 74-58 win.
