Christmas came early for a few special kids today.

The Rapid City Woodworkers Association delivered handcrafted toys for the kids at Youth and Family Services Tuesday morning. Woodworkers have been working since last January to finish more than 2,000 toys for seven different agencies with kids in need throughout the Black Hills.

Darcie Decker says, "In our families it's really tight financially as far as getting and receiving gifts and it's really wonderful that we're able to share in this way gifts for the family and that child."

Bob Buchanan says, "Simple toys that they can do whatever they want make their own games and according to teachers it's really the best toy for this age group."

Buchanan says 20 Woodworkers helped out in making the 2,000 toys for this holiday season.
