Two indicted for September Rapid City murder

Rapid City Police say two people have been indicted for the the September 2015 murder of 56-year old Edward Lowry. 19-year old Ranon Bissonette of Rapid City and 19-year old Hunter Highpipe are charged with alternative counts of first and second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder, first degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first degree robbery. Police say a co-conspirator is named in the indictment, 19-year old Gabe Selwyn Heikkinen. They say Heikkinen took his own life on Tuesday.

Lowry was found in the parking lot behind the A-E Tech Electrical Training Center on East Boulevard on September 17, 2015. He had been the victim of a violent assault.

In a release, Capt. James Johns of the Rapid City Police Department through surveillance video in the time leading up to the murder, they were able to illustrate Bissonette and Highpipe's involvement in the homicide.

Both are being held in the Pennington County Jail.
